An early 19th century white muslin trained evening dress, classical in style. Embroidered all over in white glass beads with an ivory silk vandyked collar. Short puff sleeves trimmed with ivory silk and silk cording. This lovely evening gown must have been beautiful in the candlelight of an evening party or ball. The beads catch the light and reflect, and the silk is so lustrous it looks like satin or even lamé. |
