Our Code of Cooperation

We, the members of English 1B resolve to use the follow rules to guide us.
1. We will be prepared.
2. We will make sure we know each other's names when we work together.
3. We will all participate.
4. We will respect each other, and we agree it is ok to disagree with each other.
5. We will pick our own groups.
6. We will not refuse to let someone in our group, although we will try to have groups of eight or less.
7. We will be flexible, open-minded, and compromise.
8. We will express ourselves freely, but try to leave our personal lives at home.
9. We will consider all people to be valued and all ideas worth considering.
10. We will be responsible for our work and our absences.
11. We will understand and recognize our differences.
12. We will appoint a group moderator.
13. We will take criticism in a positive way, as a way to improve ourselves.
14. We will not be indifferent or refuse to commit to a position.
15. We will feel free to form different groups for different projects.
16. We will work to overcome shyness.
17. We will not accept a group member who will not participate; we will try encouraging them until we reach an impasse, and then we will nicely ask them to find a new group or work alone.
18. We will use common sense in following this code.
